Training Activities for Employees of Healthcare Service Providers
As part of the collaboration between the “European Digital Innovation Hub on Precision Medicine and Innovative E-health Services – smartHEALTH” and the 7th Health Region of Crete (7η ΥΠΕ Κρήτης), a series of training seminars will be held. These seminars aim to support ongoing skill development and education for the Region’s personnel and the organizations it supervises. The goal is to enhance the quality of healthcare services and ensure the safety of service recipients.
Three (3) such training activities have been scheduled for the upcoming quarter:
- The 1st will take place on May 21, 2025, from 13:00 to 15:00, and will cover two (2) educational topics: a) Artificial Intelligence and its role in the evolution of healthcare services, with a focus on practical applications, and b) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) principles and the importance of data protection in the healthcare sector.
- The 2nd and 3rd activities will be scheduled between July 7 and July 18, 2025, and will address the following topics: a) Digital office: organization, communication, and collaboration, b) Digital tools for remote meetings, and c) Introduction to cybersecurity for non-technical staff – focusing on safety in the digital health domain.
All three sessions will be conducted online via Zoom. Pre-registration is required to receive the participation link and the training materials through the appropriate form (through this LINK).
More about the 1st Training Session
The training aims to both provide an understanding of the potential and prospects of AI in healthcare and to analyze citizens’ rights regarding their personal data, along with the key responsibilities of the staff handling such data. Real-life examples and practical applications will contribute to achieving the learning objectives.

The session will be delivered by smartHEALTH partners from the NCSR Demokritos and the IT company Unisystems.
