smartHEALTH participated in the EDIH Network Summit 2024, held in Brussels, on 26-27/11/2024
smartHEALTH, the European Digital Innovation Hub for Smart Health: Precision Medicine and Innovative E-health Services, participated in the EDIH Network Summit 2024, held in Brussels, on 26-27/11/2024. This was the second edition of the EDIH Network Summit, which brought together key stakeholders from the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs) network, including representatives from various thematic working groups, national authorities, and expert groups. The Greek delegation also included Smart Attica, GRdigiGOV innoHUB, DigiAgriFood, Health Hub, SYNERGiNN and EasyHPC. The summit provided first-rate information on key topics such as AI challenges as well as facilitated in-depth discussions on practical topics through good practices for digital transformation and innovative solutions across multiple areas including agrifood, construction, cybersecurity, digital health, and smart connectivity.
During the summit, smartHEALTH demonstrated its strong presence and active engagement in several significant activities:

The success story “Health and wellness promotion through EDIHs”, which was registered to the knowledge hub of EDIHs, was selected among the finalists for the “EDIH Network Awards 2024” under the categories “Collaboration with other EDIHs or European initiatives” and “People’s Choice Award”. Workshop on Digital Health, 26/11/2024
The smartHEALTH project manager D. Filippidis, participated in the workshop of the Thematic Working Group “Digital Health”. More specifically, he participated as a speaker in the panel discussion “How to realistically add value to the European transformation as EDIH network in Digital Health”, together with Sebastiaan Meijer (EDIH Health Data Sweden), Maria Pournari (EDIH Health Hub), Vasilios Tsanidis (EC), Petra Ritter (TEF-H). Focus Group on the Digital Europe Programme (DEP) interim evaluation, 27/11/2024
Mr. D. Katehakis (FORTH) participated in the Focus Group on the Digital Europe Programme (DEP) interim evaluation, on 27/11/2024, during which selected representatives of the EDIHs from each EU Member State had the opportunity to provide information on the impact of the EDIHs towards the digital transformation of SMEs and public bodies, as well as on the creation of synergies with other EU initiatives and programmes.

The smartHEALTH team had the opportunity to meet the project’s Policy Officer, Antoine-Alexandre André, to inform him about the progress of the project, as well as the next goals and steps, for the successful implementation of the project.
