smartHEALTH at Innovation in Western Greece and the Supporting Entities 3.0″ Conference

smartHEALTH will be presented at the “Innovation in Western Greece and the Supporting Entities 3.0” Conference for the third consecutive year. The conference is part of the Regional Growth Conference and will take place on Thursday, March 16, and Friday, March 17, at the Conference and Cultural Center of the University of Patras.

The smartHEALTH project will be showcased on the second day (Friday, March 17) by Mr. Vasilis Bourganos, Director of the Institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences at FORTH during the panel titled “Digital Innovation Hubs and Skills Centers,” from 13:55 to 14:30.

The conference comprises 16 panels, 125 speakers, and 13 workshops, exploring innovation in Western Greece and addressing key questions about its meaning, its beneficiaries, its impact on various economic sectors, supporting entities, available financial tools, post-pandemic situation, and prospects.

Participating in discussions and workshops are 55 central entities and organizations, engaging with local stakeholders. Limited seats are available, and registration is required for both the conference and workshops.

Additionally, the “Bootcamp Match & Develop a Startup Patras 4.0” will be held on Saturday, March 18, and Sunday, March 19, for research teams and startups. This bootcamp provides an opportunity for companies to discuss their ideas with local entrepreneurs, attend seminars, receive guidance from fund managers, and present to a judging panel. One company will advance directly to the second phase of the 14th Innovation & Technology Competition, with awards offered by collaborating businesses and entities.

These events are organized by Smart Attica EDIH and the Technology Transfer Office of the University of Patras, within the framework of the Regional Growth Conference. Co-organizers include NBG Business Seeds program of the National Bank of Greece, University of Patras, Region of Western Greece, Patras IQ, Chamber of Achaia, Patras Science Park, University of Peloponnese, Open University, POS4work, Mindspace, Orange Grove, Archimedes Center of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Uni.fund, Metavallon, Hellenic-American Chamber of Commerce, and Bayer Hellas, with the kind support of the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub platform.
