smartHEALTH is pleased to present a new Success Story video featuring Aisthesis Medical, an innovative medtech company developing Viosync, an AI-powered clinical decision support platform designed to predict sepsis up to 48 hours before clinical onset.

Sepsis remains one of the leading causes of mortality worldwide, making early detection critical for improving patient outcomes. Through explainable Artificial Intelligence and digital patient twin technology, Viosync continuously analyses patient data and identifies subtle signs of clinical deterioration before they become evident through conventional monitoring methods.

Through its collaboration with smartHEALTH, Aisthesis Medical received support in two key areas. On the technical side, smartHEALTH provided expertise on the preparation and utilisation of multi-modal datasets, as well as advanced AI methodologies to improve sepsis prediction performance. On the business side, smartHEALTH supported the company in strengthening its business plan, refining its investor pitch, and addressing intellectual property protection aspects.

The collaboration contributed to the further development and market readiness of the solution, which has now been validated on more than 50,000 patients, achieved 90% predictive accuracy, and secured €1.2 million in investment funding. Today, Viosync is being piloted in leading NHS and European hospitals, supporting clinicians with trustworthy and explainable AI-driven recommendations.
