smartHEALTH participated in the 5th Nursing Conference of Western Macedonia, on March 20 & 21, 2025

smartHEALTH supported the organisation of the 5th Nursing Conference of Western Macedonia, titled “Modernization and Innovations in Nursing,” which took place on March 20 & 21, 2025, at the Central Amphitheater of the University of Western Macedonia (ZEP Area, Kozani). Significant organizations participated in this collaboration, including the University of Western Macedonia, Mamatsio General Hospital of Kozani, Region of Western Macedonia, Municipality of Kozani, smartHEALTH EDIH, and the Biomedical Technology & Digital Health Laboratory.

Participation in the conference provided 10 continuing education credits from the Hellenic Nurses Association (ENE).

smartHEALTH partners contributed to the program with presentations aimed at highlighting the latest technological advancements in the healthcare sector:

• “Artificial Intelligence Applications in Medical and Nursing Care” – Markos Tsipouras, Professor, University of Western Macedonia
• “Decision Support Systems in Digital Health” – Nikolaos Ploskas, Associate Professor, University of Western Macedonia
• “Introduction to Real-World Data: What it is and How it is Utilized” – Dr. Pantelis Natsiavas, INEB | CERTH
• “Conversing with Artificial Intelligence: Query Engineering and Effective Use of Tools” – Nikolaos Tsatsakis, University of Crete
