User-centred design for eHealth Applications
User-centred design for eHealth Applications
As eHealth applications emerge as a critical aspect of healthcare, the provided services continuously decentralize moving (at least partly) away from clinical environment. The end-users of the provided applications include healthcare professionals but they also expand to include patients, informal carers, family, friends etc. User-centered design services for eHealth applications provided by CERTH focus on the use of participatory design approaches (e.g. design thinking) engaging real end-users from early design stages. The objective is to design and deploy services which could significantly improve the already established products, or facilitate the development of disrupting ideas for tools aiming to support clinical healthcare, telehealth, decision support, patient empowerment etc. CERTH can provide the necessary know-how to bridge the gaps along the full spectrum, from needs definition to real-world testing and deployment.
