Presentation of smartHEALTH at the wrap-up event of the SHAPES project: Smart and Healthy Aging through Supportive Systems

On October 13, 2023, at the premises of the Hellenic Mediterranean University in Heraklion, the wrap-up meeting of the SHAPES project took place, during which smartHEALTH was presented. The event was presented by Angelina Kouroumpali, Innovation Manager of smartHEALTH and researcher at the Foundation for Research and Technology.

During the event, significant speakers from various countries had the opportunity to make presentations, offering their knowledge and promoting best practices in the field of digital health. Among them were Eliška Chromcová from the University Hospital Olomouc in the Czech Republic, Nicola Goodfellow from the Northern Health and Social Care Trust in Northern Ireland, as well as Alexia Zurkuhlen, Bettina Meenen, and Anna Schutter from the Institute for Health in Germany.

Of course, Angelina Kouroumpali was among them, an exceptional researcher in the field of Health Informatics with both academic and professional experience. Her work covers many areas, from Digital Health to innovation in healthcare ecosystems. Her broad experience and international recognition highlight her significant contribution to issues such as digital health, interoperability, and innovation in healthcare ecosystems. Her presence enhances dialogue and knowledge exchange in the healthcare sector, contributing to the achievement of comprehensive solutions for health and well-being.

The SHAPES project, supported by the European Union through the Horizon 2020 program, aims to create the first European open ecosystem that will enable the large-scale implementation of a wide range of digital solutions to support and prolong healthy and independent living for the elderly.
