Participation of smartHEALTH in the 1st open meeting of the Greek node (OHDSI-GR) of the OHDSI (Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics) initiative
smartHEALTH was presented at the 1st open meeting of the Greek node (OHDSI-GR) of the OHDSI initiative, organized online by the eHealth Lab of the Institute of Applied Biosciences (INAB) of the National Centre for Research and Technology – Hellas (CERTH) held on Wednesday, March 29th, from 10:00 to 12:00 via the Zoom platform.
The smartHEALTH project was presented by Mr. Dimitrios Katehakis, Head of the Center for eHealth Applications and Services (CeHA) of the Institute of Computer Science (ICS-FORTH), in the session titled ‘Real-World Data’ and the European Digital Innovation Hub smartHEALTH’, where smartHEALTH and its role in the context of implementing the OHDSI initiative were presented.
The discussion was organized online and involved representatives from the pharmaceutical industry as well as research organizations, focusing on the prospects of utilizing Real-World Data within the framework of observational studies and/or in conjunction with clinical research.
